I am looking forward to this. Good writer and director IMO and 3D is a plus and it's HALLOWEEN!

Why so profitable, well liked, critically acclaimed and Oscar winning?

This is an interesting article about the prominence that 3D technology will have on the future of film.

It appears this project is going to at least be put on hold now.

I'm not surprised that its being put on hold for a while, just as long as its not a permanent hold.

Don't expect to hear any major news for close to a year, as Lussier has to make Drive Angry before they can start pre-production.

Hopefully they'll use the extra time to develop a better script!

Remember how the Weinstein's were cash strapped and had to put H3D on hold, not to mention ther writer and director being busy with another movie?

Well, Bob Weinstein has changed his mind and wants it out in 2010 again, and he is listening to pitches, which means that Lussier and Farmer might not be on board.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this next year.Hopefully Halloween can actually have some sort of cinematic significance to me again.
The only Halloween films i watch these days are the originals.

Yeah the newer ones have defintely lost the feel that the originals had. The new ones that RZ made are good in their own right they just don't measure up to what they were based on, which in turn makes them less enjoyable to watch since try as you might you can't help but compare the two. They're like a completely different series when you compare the two.

What is certian is that Zombie is completely done with the franchise, as he and the Weinstein's don't get along that well anymore.

He had very little say in the final version of H2, hence him throwing it under a bus after claiming that it was "100% his" and calling the director's cut the real version of the movie.

Only RZH was a remake.

H2 was a sequel to it and H3D will not be a remake either.
