They should definitely go with the Lizard but maybe have Scorpion or Kraven around. Wouldn't mind seeing Bruce Campbell as Mysterio though! Electro might be ok. Would love Hobgoblin but that goblin?power ranger in the last one messed that up! They should have someone like Rhino at the beginning robbing a bank & maybe show up later as a bodyguard or breaking out of jail. You know someone who doesn't have to be the main villain or have an origin.

Rumour has it that The Lizard and The HobGoblin will be in the next one. This is very likely becuase curt connors appeared in the previous films and In spider-man 3 when harry is walking through the goblin armory a yellow version of the original green goblin mask can be seen with red eyes. In the comics those are 2 colors of the hobgoblins mask and also in the comics hob goblin stole and redesigned a green goblin suit. Carnage can't be in the enxt one becuase Venom was completely destroyed so therefore carnage; the offspring of the venom symbiote cannot be in any future spider-mans wihout him having a crappy origin. Now the reason why it's safe to assume taht venom is indeed dead is becuase the symbiotes can die by two things Fire and Sonics the sonic waves casued by spider-man hiting the bars mized with the intense heat of the new goblins bombs completely destroyed venom and eddie brock.

if they are done correctly of course. Hobgoblin has a chance to be really good but he could be also really stupid.

I have no idea, I'm not familiar with Spider-Man's enemies, I only saw the first movie, I bought as few Spider Man comics which featured Venom, but I never really been a comic book fan. I basically bought those few comics because they had cool looking covers :P

I don't want to see Hobgoblin, as he'd probably come off a lot like the Green Goblin. Despite not being as insane, he operated the same, though more so as a mercenary. In the 90s animated series, Harry Osborn was the Hobgoblin for a bit, but in that show the Hobgoblin came first.

I do think they could do Carnage, even without Venom. All they have to do is say Venom spawned him sometime earlier, and wah-la (lame, yes, but so was a lot of parts in the trilogy). Personally I think Carnage would be the best, and you might agree if you read Maximum Carnage. That brought in the Fantastic Four any everybody else, it'd be a potential blockbuster, considering all the others films to have come out.

I don't know about the Lizard, at least by himself. Then again I do think they need to stop using multiple villains, that's one thing I disliked about the Batman films, it sort of got choppy with the screen time and development. But with the Lizard, an exception can be made.

Mysterio could be interesting, considering his illusions and such. I do think Scorpion could be cool, or the Sinister Six, though that may have to wait another film or two... so we have villains available to recruit.
